Some of the books we're always reading (the Bible), have read, or are planning to read soon here at Good Shepherd. Our next book club book is Atul Gawande's "Being Mortal". Add it to your reading list and join us to discuss when the Book Club meets again in September.

Good Shepherd's Cancer Support Group will meet this coming Thursday, April 26th for prayer and mutual support. If you or a loved one are experiencing cancer, or if you've recently gone through treatment or are facing treatment soon, then this group is open to you. They meet the fourth Thursday of the month in our Small Group Room (a leader will greet you at the door and show you the way). Group starts at 6 PM. All are welcome.

Sunday, April 14, at GSLC: If we could gather on a beach, we would! Instead, we'll hear about Jesus making breakfast on the beach for his disciples after his resurrection. It is with both deep sorrow and great hope in the resurrection that we share the news of Shirley Swanson's death. Please keep Deb and the whole family in your prayers. Arrangements are still being decided and we will share details once we know them through appropriate channels.
Almighty God, source of all mercy and giver of comfort, graciously tend those who mourn, that casting all their sorrow on you, they may know the consolation of your love.
