All the faith-inspired gifts to Good Shepherd -- hours of time, skills and talents, as well as funds -- are used ideally when they not only help members but reach out to all others. We invite you to share in these resources or contact a staff member if you have questions about them:

  • The library is located in the center of the building for those who would like to borrow books and videos for all ages.
  • Good Shepherd parish nurses with the Health and Wellness Committee and other volunteer health professionals assist members by providing blood pressure screenings on the third Sunday of each month after each worship service. Nurses serve as educators, health counselors, referral agents, health-care system advocates, and developers of support groups.
  • "60 Something" luncheon is held on the first Wednesday of September, December, February, and May at noon in the Fellowship Hall. Blood pressure screening is offered then as well. Periodic programs at this luncheon, open to all, feature health topics, such as exercise, memory, and independence.
  • Men's Coffee Group meets each Wednesday (except legal holidays) at 10 a.m. in the Choir Room for fresh java and lively conversation.
  • Men's Bible Study Breakfast meets each Friday at 6:30 a.m. at the Original Pancake House.
  • "The Lutheran" monthly magazine is provided in the congregation budget for every member household. Extra copies are available for guests at the church along with a daily devotional resource, "Christ in Our Home" which has a large-print edition.
  • Hearing-assist devices, which are easy to use and small in size, may be borrowed from an usher before entering a worship service.
