Tom Hillertz has accepted the call to be pastor at Good Shepherd.
Pastor Emeritus
Dr. Edward D. Schneider
Dr. Edward D. Schneider served as pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church from 1985 until his retirement in 2001. Pastor Schneider and his wife, Nancy, continue to live in Champaign.

Parish Office Manager
Chris Collins
Chris Collins has been Office Manager at Good Shepherd since July 2011. Chris is married to Leland, and they have four children: Melissa (30), Nathan (24), Aryn (19), and Trace (16). Born in Champaign-Urbana, Chris attended Parkland College, the University of Illinois (BA-Sociology), and Governors State University (MPA-Public Administration). Mostly recently, Chris was an Elder Abuse Caseworker and Investigator in Vermilion County. She previously worked for both the Lutheran Church of Mahomet and Restoration Urban Ministries. She and Leland were local missionaries for a number of years. Leland now works in the construction field, but still ministers in the area.

Choir Director
Jill Crandall
Jill Allison Crandall has been Choir Director at Good Shepherd since September 2011. Jill is married to Paul Heald for 27 years this August, and they have three children, Andrea (26, married and getting a PhD in math at the University of Virginia), Lewis (23 and starting his master's degree in double bass performance at University of Minnesota), and Margaret (20, studying Arabic at the University of Georgia). Born in Connecticut, she grew up in Florida and started singing in choir when in kindergarden. She describes herself as a pretty rough pianist, despite having started so young, loves "rocking out" on electric bass, and is absolutely passionate about handbells.
