ILLINI FOOTBALL GAME TAILGATE WITH THRIVENT

Saturday, September 21 Thrivent will be hosting an Illini Tailgating event to collect nonperishable food items that will be donated to the Wesley Food Bank on the U of I campus. In order to make sure Thrivent has enough food for everyone that stops by, be sure to RSVP east-centralillinoisgroup@thrivent.com

ADULT FORUM

Join us for Adult Forum! Adult Forum meets this Sunday at 10:30 in the Choir Room. Nancy Holm and Jodi Davis will present on Women's Ministry in the Lutheran Church. Lutheran women have a long history of Bible study, discipleship, and desire to deepen their spiritual life and learn about issues. Join us as we learn about the history of Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (WELCA) and projects our own WELCA group is doing in our community and around the world. It will be a time to share fellowship and new ideas as we start the new program year. Next week: Worship 101: The Whats, Hows, and Whys of Lutheran Worship.

MISSION TRIP TO MT. VERNON

We have set the dates of September 26 and 27th to go to Mt Vernon to work on the reconstruction of the church wall that we couldn’t work on when we were there before. We are looking for helpers to go with us. We will have a job to fit your skills. See Jim Hack for details and to sign up.

The clothing closet inventory is getting low on the following donated items:
-Dress Pants and Blue Jeans (Blue Jeans seem to be preferred) Sizes: Waist 34-40
-Long and Short Sleeve Shirts Sizes: 3X and 4X

-Coats (Zip up jackets or winter coats, not dress coats) Sizes: Large to 4X
