ADULT FORUM

Join us for Adult Forum! Adult Forum meets this Sunday, 10:30-11:30AM in the Choir Room. Dean Olson will present on Secrets of El Salvador Part 1: Reflections on Six Visits. He will look beyond the construction projects themselves, examining what has been learned and the value of our ongoing participation. Next week: Secrets of El Salvador Part 2: Visiting as a Seminarian (Carla Rush).

NATIONAL TACO DAY

Middle & High School youth can come have dinner with Jason for National Taco Day.

PUMPKIN UNLOADING

Saturday, October 5, 8-10 AM
High School Youth help unload over 1,000 pumpkins! Students can begin earning funds for their youth savings account.

PUMPKIN FUNDRAISER

Members of all ages are welcome to help sell pumpkins to support our youth trips, retreats, and service projects. All you have to do is sign up on the bulletin board at church for time slots that fit your schedule and the pumpkins sell themselves! You can also sign up online using this link. Contact Jason with any questions or ideas regarding this fundraiser.

FALL FUN FEST

Saturday, October 5, 11AM-3PM
Come Join Us!! Pumpkin decorating, games, apple pies and other baked goods along with over 45 unique gift baskets of donated items for sale, so come out to do your fall or early holiday shopping.
Volunteers are still needed for the Fall Fun Fest event Oct. 5, especially for clean-up from 3 – 4 pm. Call Jodi Davis at 217-840-5078 by 9 am Sat. morning if you can volunteer for an hour at the end of the event or another time during the day. Thanks!!

BLESSING OF PETS

Bring your pet to church! Join us in celebrating his love for all God's Creatures by bringing your cat, dog, horse, hamster, or any other pet you own for a special blessing. If your pet does not play well with others, please use a carrier, leash or bring a picture of your pet!

WELCA MEETING

WELCA will have a general planning meeting on Tuesday, October 8 at 5:15 PM in the Choir Room. Please plan to attend to discuss upcoming events for this fall and winter – packing of health and school kits for Lutheran World Relief, the Ingathering on Oct. 25 to load those items for shipment, Thankoffering Sunday Nov. 17, and the Christmas Brunch Dec. 7. Families with kids of all ages can break out their flannel shirts and watch the Timberwork’s Lumberjack Show perform demonstrations like log rolling, axe throwing, and speed carving. Enjoy music, art, games, crafts, and food trucks.

PRISON MINISTRY CLOTHING NEEDS

The clothing closet inventory is getting low on the following donated items:
-Dress Pants and Blue Jeans (Blue Jeans seem to be preferred) Sizes: Waist 34-40
-Long and Short Sleeve Shirts Sizes: 3X and 4X
-Sweatshirts Sizes: Large to 4X
-Coats (Zip up jackets or winter coats, not dress coats) Sizes: Large to 4X
