GOD'S WORK. OUR HANDS. WEEK OF SERVICE

September 8-14th. This week is an opportunity to celebrate who we are as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America – one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor.

Why just one day, when we can make it a whole WEEK of service for our neighbors!

Service activities offer an opportunity for us to explore one of our most basic convictions as Lutherans: that all of life in Jesus Christ – every act of service, in every daily calling, in every corner of life – flows freely from a living, daring confidence in God’s grace.

Be on the lookout for service ideas coming to your email inbox. If you have ideas for projects, please email Agatha Barnes (agathak6@gmail.com) or Patty Hart (cookiedunker@comcast.com).

Service activities can be as simple as making a food delivery through Empty Tomb!

CAR WASH - GODS WORK OUR HANDS SUNDAY

Sunday, September 8th is God's Work Our Hands Day. Youth & Families of Good Shepherd will be using their hands to provide a FREE car wash for our neighbors.

After remembering your baptism at the font in worship, and how you have been washed clean from sin, you can then roll your car around to the front of the church and have it washed too. FREE LIKE GOD'S GRACE. (Just be aware we are not able to absolve your car of any of its sins.)

KNIT, PRAY, CROCHET GOD'S WORK OUR HANDS WEEK

Sept. 12, 9:30AM - Choir Room
This month Knit, Pray, Crochet will be during God’s Work our Hands Week. Anyone who can cut, paste and color is welcome. We’re going to be creating some flannel boards with cut- out Bible characters to add to our Children’s Activity Bags. You can also come to knit or crochet. Contact Marilyn Dudley
