Operation Turkey Sandwich

Each Thanksgiving morning members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church along with a variety of community members gather to pack turkey sandwich lunches for those in our community who have to work on Thanksgiving. Lunches are delivered to hospitals, police and fire stations, tv and radio stations and more. This event has grown to pack and deliver more than 200 lunches. Many who have received a lunch one year come to help in future years.

Nativity Walk

A local outreach event held each December is the Nativity Walk. The Nativity Walk includes an outdoor live nativity complete with live animals including sheep, cows, and a camel! Inside visitors are greeted with live music while they stroll the sanctuary and halls of the facility viewing the 100+ nativities set up for the event. Warm cider and treats are available in the Fellowship Hall at the pop-up cafe.
