Sunday Worship
9:00 am
As we resume gathered indoor worship we are trying to care for the most vulnerable among us, to allow space for folks to feel comfortable with being among others again, and to allow us to worship God together – and we’re trying to do all of those things at the same time. It’s a delicate balance and plans will keep changing as we move through the summer. We ask that you wear a mask until you are seated, and we encourage unvaccinated folks to wear their masks throughout the service.
And don’t forget, we will be LIVE-STREAMING our 9:00 AM worship service, so you can always be completely safe and worship from home.
Our worship services include traditional or blended liturgy with a sermon, children’s sermon, special music and Holy Communion. Our facilities are wheel chair accessible with reserved seating in the sanctuary.

“You are not just a worshiper at Good Shepherd. You are part of a caring and compassionate family of fellow believers.”
Nancy McCowen
Communion
At Good Shepherd we practice open communion. We believe in the real presence of Jesus Christ in the elements of bread and wine. In the gospels we meet Jesus, God’s Son, who ate with sinners and welcomed all. You are welcome at this, the Lord’s Table. Children who commune in their home congregations are welcome to commune at this church. Children who do not receive communion are encouraged to come forward with hands folded to receive a blessing.
Music & Choir
Our choir is an integral part of our Worship service throughout the school year, rehearsing every Wednesday evening at 7pm in the Choir room and singing at the 9am worship each week. Bell choir practices and plays at special services throughout the year. Choir and Bell Choir welcome new members. Choir is not meeting during the summer months but will resume in the fall.
Children in Worship
Children are welcome and encouraged to attend worship with their families. Children are invited to come forward weekly for the Children’s Sermon and will receive a weekly devotional activity sheet. Small bags of quiet activities are available outside of the sanctuary for those who need extra pew activities.
Nursery
The nursery is not currently available, but we hope to open it soon for families with young children who would like to utilize it during worship. Plenty of toys, coloring books, and a toddler-sized bathroom are available for your children while you worship. At least one adult volunteer is in the nursery and additional volunteers help out when needed.
Sunday School
We offer Sunday School classes for preschool aged youth up through adults starting at 10:15 am for the spiritual enrichment and education of all. Sunday School will not be meeting during the summer months but will resume in September.
